Ceylon Light Infantry (CLI) White Metal Collar Badge with Pagri Slider Fitting

A scarce collar badge of the CLI with an original small slider to reverse, presumably for wear in the sun helmet pagri band or field service cap - no signs of lugs ever having been fitted. Circa 2.6cm tall (excluding slider). Worn circa 1881 - 1949.

Chinese China Treaty Ports - Shanghai Municipal Gaol / Jail Large Pattern Gilt Officers Button

Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, and maker marked J Compton & Sons London. In stunning condition. Circa 1920s -1930s. Scarce.

Incidentally I have seen for sale elsewhere a brass cap badge for the gaolers / jailers with the same central design ( incorporating the flags of all nations in the centre) but mounted on an eight pointed star.

A die struck brass metal cap badge with original slider to the reverse. A good strong badge with reinforcing bar to back of crown. Sharp detail and in very good condition.
