Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Prater & Co, London. Some wear to the silver plate on the high points otherwise in good condition. Worn pre-1908, after which they became the 7th Battalion, The London Regiment.

Pre WW1 Motor Volunteer Corps (MVC) Officers Silver Plated Button
A very rare silver plated officer's button, circa 25mm in diameter with a strong fixed shank and maker marked I & B Pearce & Co, who were a small London based firm. In superb condition.
The Motor Volunteer Corps existed for 3 March 1903 until it was officially disbanded on the 26th July 1906.

A very nice pair with two original loops to the reverse. A good match from the front, slightly different from the rear. Worn pre-1897, but also formed part of shoulder titles post that date for Volunteer Battalions to 1908 and 'walking-out' shoulder titles for Territorial Battalions until 1920. Also worn by Volunteer Artillery.
