A large original sepia portrait photo mounted on card of a Lance Corporal of the Machine Gun Corps (MGC) with ribbon bars for the 1914 or 1914-15 star and what looks like a French medal such as a Medaille Commemorative De La Guerre, 1914 - 1918. Unlike most other silk issuers of the time Anstie wove rather than printed the silk. All Anstie silks were anonymous with no makers marks but are very disguingishable by the woven patterns.
