Original WW1 silk printed cigarette card, paper backed with details of regiment to reverse. In very good condition, may have minor age spots and light marking. No 23 of a set of 108 different cards distributed by a number of different cigarette manufacturers entitled "Crests & Badges of the British Army". Thought to have been issued by British American Tobacco in 1915.

Postally used, Sent from one soldier to another as an Xmas card in 1905, Victoria (Australia) cancelled stamp and Melbourne Cancellation. Corner wear and a light central crease otherwise in reasonably good condition and a splendid image by the famous military artist Harry Payne.

An original sepia full length portrait of a Royal Naval officer of the civil branch, either a Fleet Paymaster or Fleet Surgeon judging from the three equal rings on his cuff. Large cabinet card with mounted photograph of a soldier of the Hampshire Regiment taken in Bristol, mot probably pre 1900. Collar badges clearly visible as well as curved brass Hampshire Shoulder title. He seems to be wearing extra large good conduct badges on his left forearm. Corners a bit bashed and some wear to image, especially at the edges. Blank reverse.

A parchment paper original certificate exempting a one John Crosland from the militia ballot for the city of Sheffield dated 26th September 1807. He paid the handsome sum of £2 12/6. An embossed revenues stamp to left. Some folds, light foxing, one hole on bottom right corner for filing, otherwise in great condition and a rare survivor of the Napoleonic Wars
