Burma - Southern Shan States ( SSS ) Military Police Cap Badge, 1904 - 1942
Cast white metal. possibly silver plated (given how dark toned it has become) with two original lugs to the reverse. The letters SSS interspaced between crossed Gurkha kukri knifes beneath a King's Crown. As is found with every genuine example of this badge, the final "S" is truncated. Calcutta Light Horse ( CLH ) Forage Cap / Collar badge
The Calcutta Light Horse was raised in 1872 and formed part of the Cavalry Reserve in the British Indian Army. The regiment was disbanded following India's independence in 1947. This is a cast, of two part construction with two original lugs to the reverse. Small at circa 3.2cm tall, for wear in forage cap or perhaps on collar too. Of good quality, possibly officer's issue.

An extremely fine forage side cap badge to the 1st Punjab Regiment, post 1922, with two original lugs to the reverse. A small die cast badge of circa 3cm wide and 3cm tall. Small crack line to right of elephant's ear, possible a die flaw, but this does not go through the badge. Indian made in unmarked silver and of special super quality. A stunner!
