Gloucester - Early Edwardian 1902 Pattern Embroidered Cloth Shoulder Title
Removed from uniform, but otherwise in good condition for age. Worn 1902 - 1907 when they were abolished by the regular army on account of cost and replaced with brass metal titles. This one to the Gloucestershire Regiment. See Jon Mill's wonderful Badges on Battledress for for other similar examples to county regiments to Lincoln and Cheshire (page 4 Vol 1). Rare.

In unissued good condition, but some tape residue to reverse. 6th Territorial Battalion issue. To commemorate their origins as Rifle Volunteers of the 1860s, the 6th Bn DLI moved away from the Light Infantry colour scheme in August 1955, this pattern adopted for Other Ranks only. Scarce.
