British Army Royal Artillery Officer's Full Dress Cross Gilt Belt Tip Badge
Worn with a separate gilt buckle and slide, the belt tip badge was found at the end of the full dress officer's belt. See my item 64909 for the whole ensemble. The neck of grenade has sprung loose from the flames, but looks ok from front. Some wear to gilt on ball of grenade from service wear. All four original loops. Condition reflected in price. Made from unmarked nickel silver with a black / darkened oxidised finish. With original and functional pin fitting. As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seventeen flames (Grenadier Guards pattern but in white metal) with two original toned loops to the reverse but these have been reinforced or re-secured with lead solder.
