An impressively large die cast cap badge with original slider to the reverse, which is maker marked BP & Co Ld, B'ham (Bodill Parker & Co, Birmingham).. In the form of the Royal Cypher for King George V. As worn 1911 to 1935. Circa 56mm tall. In very good condition.

WW2 - 4th County of London Yeomanry ( Sharpshooters ) Brass Shoulder Title - maker named Walker & Hall, Sheffield

In excellent condition with two original hexagonal lugs to the reverse, Die stamped to reverse Walker & Hall, Sheffield. Worn in 1944 only.

Walker & Hall were cutlers and made regimental spoons in the 1930s and I believe moved into military badge making in the early 1940s.

First raised in 1901.

King Edwards Horse ( The Kings Oversea Dominions Regiment ) Yeomanry Brass Cap Badge - Rare Ausumus spelling

The rare version mispelling "Adsumus" in the motto srcoll with "Ausumus". In brass guilding metal with original slider. Circa 5.8cm tall. Rare.

During WW1 the Reigment was broken up, serving in France and Italy in a variety of roles. Some of the men became mounted orderlies and the KODR became 'King's Own Despatch Riders" to the jeers of the infantry.
