Not sure if this is 1st or 4th Battalion Gurkha Rifles, or something else entirely. Came in with a large Gurkha collection. A large badge, cast in white metal with three original copper loops to reverse. Circa 53mm tall and 57mm wide. A substantial badge, no doubt theatre made, any information welcome.

Assam Valley Light Horse (AVLH) Officer's Forage / Side Cap Silver Plated Cap Badge

A neatly cast silver plated example, in the form of a crowned 'AVLH' monogram in script with two original long copper loops for wear in the officer's side cap. King's crown, pre 1947. Circa 2.4cms tall and 2.7cms wide. Scarce.

WW1 - 5G 5th Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force) Blackened Brass Shoulder Title

An early title, predating the granting of the title "Royal" in 1921. Worn from circa 1894. Circa 15mm tall and 28mm wide. Would originally have been all blackened, but this appears to have been cleaned back mainly to the brass. Two original hexagonal fixing loops to the reverse. In good worn condition.

3GR 3rd Queen Alexandra's Own Gurkha Rifles Blackened Brass Shoulder Titles - 2nd Battalion

A close match of two bronze cast titles with two original integral loops to the reverse of each. Circa 3.9cms wide and 1.8cms tall. In good overall condition. Believed to have been worn from 1900 - 1920s by the 2nd Battalion only (see page 46 of publication below).

British Indian & Indian Army - Sikh Light Infantry Cap Badge

A cast white metal silver plated example with two original copper loops to the reverse. In good worn condition. Circa 4cms tall. Formed in 1941 and this badge also worn post Independence.

The regiment's cap badge is a chakram or quoit, with a mounted kirpan (type of knife). The insignia was designed to honour the Khalsa community's Akali Nihang ancestry.

This is a attractive (regrettably single) 4th Battalion Welsh Regiment distinctive red saucepan overpainted or stenciled onto a printed formation sign. It is folded for wear but glued to a piece of card to stiffen it and another piece mounted for display. Very scarce.

A finely cast white metal badge (silver plated) with two original loops. Prince of Wales's feathers at intersection of crossed lances, scrolls below with motto, 'Ich Dien', and the unit title, 'Probyn's Horse'. Worn circa 1921 - 1947.

In very good condition with original slider with crimp mark. An early example, thickly die struck and of some quality. This pattern as worn from 1911 - 1992, with a scarlet cloth backing. Circa 38mm tall and 39mm wide.
