An early WW1 GV pattern cap badge worn from 1913 onwards with original slider to the reverse (a W or M scratched on to it). A good striking, almost mint. Scarce.
The First and Second Life Guards were amalgamated in 1922 to form The Life Guards ( 1st & 2nd ).
