A British made in die struck white metal cap /collar badge. Possibly silver plated. Two original copper loops to the reverse. Maker 's tablet J.R. Gaunt London to reverse. Circa 3.1cm tall. In excellent condition.

WW2 Cape Corps Gilt Brass Officer's Headdress Cap Beret Badge

A die cast example in brass gilt metal, gilt mainly back to brass. A smaller and much neater badge than its WW1 predecessor. Two original loops, sadly now squeezed together no doubt for mounting on a board as was the fashion in bygone times. The badge post war kept the same design but changed the title to read "KAAPSE KORPS". Circa 33mm in diameter. Sold as seen.
